Two digit Addition Success with two-digit addition depends on knowledge of addition facts and a solid understanding of the place-value system. Adding two digit numbers with regrouping requires that children internalize the action of taking apart and combining numbers.

Theme 3 How can we learn and work well together? Children will work side by side, increasing their ability to work cooperatively. Although they still rely on the teacher a great deal, children are increasingly able to participate in a group. They want to feel part of the group and believe fairness is important.
