St. Jerome School is hosting its annual Open House on Thursday, February 2 (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.). As part of "Catholic Schools Week," students, families, and alumni will have the opportunity to visit classrooms and facilities. Additionally, new families and students are being encouraged to come and see what goes on at our school.

The school has many resources, activities, and technology that have largely been secrets outside school hallways. There is the computer lab and library/resource center; the Science Lab, with new tools and facilities; Internet and networking capabilities; interactive "Active Boards" in every classroom that connect computers to electronic displays; the Gateway to Art room with all its creative talents showcased; and much more. Staff and parents will be present to answer questions and explain what goes on during the school year. Naturally, there will be lots of student work and special displays to visit. This is a great opportunity for parents who are considering where to send their children to school and alumni to see many of the school's great advances.

With students, parents, faculty and the school principal  present, visitors will be able to see and hear about aspects which make St. Jerome School such a special place. From academics to athletics, from community awareness to spiritual growth, from facilities to faculty, from classroom to extra-curricular activities, everything will be on display.  Registration packets and testing sign-up information will be provided. There will be special "guides" available to facilitate your visit. The guides, students or parents, will show newcomers around the buildings and rooms of the school.

"We believe that these are great ways for people in our parish and for others who live in the area around us to find out about our school," says Principal Sr. Judy Peters. "There is so much here that we offer students and families. We want to share this information with everyone who wants to listen."
