In-School Suspension
A student who receives an in-school suspension will be given his/her classroom work to complete at school. S/he will not be able to attend class, mingle with the other students at any time during those days, nor participate in any extra-curricular activities.
Suspension/Expulsion
- Actions gravely harmful to the moral or spiritual welfare of other students
- Habitual profanity or vulgarity
- Assault, battery, or any threat of force or violence directed toward any school personnel or student
- Open, persistent defiance of the authority of a staff member
- Continued, willful disobedience
- Possession, use, or sale of narcotics or alcohol
- Smoking or having tobacco
- Stealing, cheating, lying. Consequences will be issued at the teacher's discretion.
- Cutting, defacing, or injuring in any way property belonging to the school or another student
- Habitual truancy
- Any student carrying a harmful weapon may be expelled. The principal, in consultation with her supervisor, will make this decision.
- Suspension will also be assigned to any student who does not follow the school policy for hair.
The principal reserves the right to make decisions s/he feels are appropriate for the individual and for the school
